An Excellent Resource This book is a solid introduction to the concepts that you need for web design. I’ve just returned to web design after a 20 year hiatus (basically back to being a beginner again). The author’s writing style is super accessible and clear, the sections are laid out logically, and the exercises really help solidify the information that has been presented. This book is also a very handy reference. The color coding of the pages for the various sections makes it so that you can quickly get to what you’re you’re looking for. Even though it’s geared toward beginners, the author doesn’t shy away from advanced topics – helping readers understand how they relate to what they’re learning and pointing readers in the right direction if they’re interested in digging more deeply into advanced topics.

Excellent Book Ive been tinkering with web design for years just for fun but wanted to get serious about learning new and updated technologies. This is a great class in a book on web design and Jennifer provides clear explanations to technical topics. Im reading every page as she provides great references for further reading. Highly recommend this book before you even take classes. Ive tried an online class but this book is way better.

5 Stars for sure, ignore the 1 star review I have been learning Web Development for almost two years now and I’m still finding new & useful things from this book. This book provides plenty of examples and opportunities to do exercises.Ignore the 1 Star review where the guy said his wife didn’t learn anything. Completely bogus review.
